"When art succeeds, it makes us
realize things we already have
known deep within."

Come away with me to my world . . . a world
seen through rose coloured glasses where
everything is made of softness with divine
colours and full of love.  Take my poetry home
with you and hang it on your wall.  Let it
remind you daily to rejoice in the joyous
moments you have experienced.
Dream with me.  Celebrate life with me.

   C. Butler Pendley majored in Interior Design at the University of Oklahoma and Maryville College in St. Louis.  She worked in the field of Interior design for ten years before returning to school at Marian College to receive a degree in Fine Arts.  In the 1970's she was active in the East Coast art market, participating and winning awards in shows from Miami to Washington D.C.  In the early 80's she returned to Oklahoma.

    C. Butler Pendley is a very diverse artist in the use of media and subject matter.  Nationally known as a watercolourist, she began to experiment with intaglio etchings ten years ago and is now well known as a printmaker.  Her art encompasses much of the spirit that has been inspired by her extensive travels in America as well as Europe and the South Pacific.  Subject matter ranges from historic Williamsburg

to Victorian street scenes in Boston to inspired angels, bold floral and fantasy birds and mesmerizing magical  scenes from the southwest.

Pendley's images may be found in  countless public and private collections around the world.  A partial listing of some of the notable collectors:  George Bush, Bill Clinton, Richard Celeste, George Dukakis, John Sununnu, Frank Keating , David Walters, Walter Cronkite, Sidney Poitier, Ed McMahon, Ginger Rogers, Betty White, Chuck Norris.  Look for her images in more than 700 galleries internationally.

She now works from her studio in Edmond, Oklahoma, The Angel House.  The Angel House is located 3 miles west of I-35 and 1/2 mile north of the highway 77 exit in Edmond, Oklahoma.
